July Theme of "Delight"

Hi,

Someone described this period as "endless days and weeks that fly by"... and so here we are with another new month starting! I'd like to offer up "Delight" as a word to embrace in the weeks ahead. You'll find some thoughts to get us started below.
 

DELIGHT

"Delight" is defined as the ability to give or to experience great pleasure. Most often, it pops up as a word or feeling when that pleasure comes from something unexpected. For example, this happens with an upgrade on a flight or a special dish enjoyed on the road...

So, where does it come when we're pretty much grounded in the same place with the same people? Where's the unexpected pleasure? That's going to be our focus this month!

Let's shift from "Drive" and the hard work of June to a place where we come across - and enjoy! - new fruit on a stalk, an animal shape in a cloud, or a neighbour's hello. Even one unexpected moment of delight goes a long way to lift our spirits and remind ourselves that - hey, we can take a day off and enjoy summer differently this year!

I just got a note from an artist I work with, and frankly, I think she's doing it right. She lives near her musician whose home is on the ocean. I hope she fills her eyes and heart with sunsets and salty breezes. Just reading this was delightful for me and, to be honest, inspiring. This evening, I'll be reachable but chillin! ;-)
